Misfit Citizen ® in its purest sense is my artist's trademark. It was originally intended to be the name of my upcoming clothing line, but has since transformed to envelop something much deeper than just a brand.

Misfit Citizen ® represents my many creations and manifestations. I refer to myself as a Jill-of-All-Trades because I'll try anything I can get my hands on. I currently work with acrylic, watercolour, charcoal, graphite, oil pastel, coloured pencil, marker, cosmetics, stickers, cross-stitching, knitting, crocheting, sewing, screenprinting, stenciling, altered books, collaging, paper craft, jewellery making, makeup design, fashion design, graphic design, web design, film and digital photography, repurposing, poetry and songwriting, singing, baking, and cooking. Everything created by these hands, imagined by this brain express highly personal experiences, opinions and feelings on an array of subjects, many times not necessarily what society deems proper or even in good taste. Well who the fuck is this 'society' and what do they know about being proper? Truth knows no boundaries and I'm a free bird with unlimited frequent flyer miles. I'm not here for 15 minutes of fame. I want nothing more than to simply be respected. I want to be helpful, inspirational, friendly, and most importantly real. Whether it's one person or a thousand... respect is key. As far as the woman behind the name, I simply can't be defined in plain terms. There is no one to compare me to--I'm a woman of an entirely new breed. ;)
